We farm as an act of hope
We have always found solace and inspiration in the trees. There’s something reassuring about their resiliency that we hope to learn, and possibly, to teach.
We farm because the world is on fire, the people in power are spinning out of reality’s orbit, and the weight of it all is crushing people like us.
We farm because, for us, the antidote for all that toxicity is literally getting down to earth. We want to contribute energy to the positive forces that make the tender green sprig of new life possible.
What the business plan says
3 Story Farm is an organically-managed orchard in Scandia, Minnesota, that grows specialty nuts and fruits, creates delicious sweet and savory products that showcase these fruits and nuts, and markets and sells those products. The farm, due to be planted in Spring 2026, will have 300 chestnut trees, 300 elderberry bushes, and 300 black currant plants.
What we say to friends
3 Story Farm is adventurous folks growing cool plants that taste really good and do good, environmentally, too. The season is right to get growing. We have big ideas, and we’re excited to see our plans take root, soar skyward, and blossom with abundance.
